UCM Library Participates in Community Video

May 7, 2013

At UC Merced Library, we're not afraid to take the lead. We were one of the first 100 libraries in the world (and the first UC) to adopt OCLC's WMS (WorldShare Management Services) as our ILS. Basically, as ILS (integrated library system) is what we use to keep track of what library users have checked out, where all our materials are located, etc. WMS is user friendly, inexpensive, and moves library workflows to the cloud. To celebrate the 100th library implementing WMS, OCLC encouraged WMS libraries to participate in a community video. All participants were entered in a drawing for a $4000 prize for staff development.
