Look For Databases:
A database is an organized collection of information. The library databases are online collections of information from published and copyrighted works, for example scholarly articles, newspaper articles, ebooks, music, and art. Some databases, like Academic Search Complete cover a wide variety of topics and disciplines. Other databases, like PsycInfo , are subject-specific. Subject-specific databases focus on one subject or discipline, and the content is authored by experts in that field.
The articles and other resources in library databases are typically not available freely on the web. The library pays for these databases so that UC Merced students, faculty and staff can have access.
Library databases are searchable and many contain full-text articles. Often you can email and print entire articles or export citations to a bibliographic manager like RefWorks .
