Meeting Rooms

The Library has a variety of meeting rooms available to groups and campus organizations for both academic and non-academic use.


KL 359 Media:Scape

Eligible Users: Graduate students, staff and faculty.

Capacity: Up to 8 people in a fixed conference room configuration. 

Equipment: A Media:Scape conference table outfitted with HDMI connections for screen sharing to two large monitors, and a dry erase whiteboard.

How to Reserve: Use the online room reservation system EMS to reserve up to six months in advance. Once in EMS, filter by location "library".

Access: Present your CatCard at the second floor Services Desk to check out the room key at the time of your reservation. All users must exit the space before the room key is returned to the Services Desk.

Please keep in mind that the person who booked the room must be the same person to check out the room key.


KL 360    |    KL 397

Eligible Users: Students, clubs, campus groups, staff and faculty.

KL 360 Capacity: Up to 16 people in a fixed conference room configuration, with additional soft seating. 

KL 397 Capacity: Up to 18 people with 3 possible room configurations, with additional soft seating. 

Equipment: KL 360 and KL397 both contain a large format monitor with wireless HDMI input and dry erase whiteboard. 

How to Reserve: Use the online room reservation system EMS to reserve up to six months in advance. Once in EMS, filter by location "library". Reservations are limited to one reservation per week for use up to four hours.

Access: Present your CatCard at the second floor Services Desk to check out the room key at the time of your reservation. All users must exit the space before the room key is returned to the Services Desk.

Please keep in mind that the person who booked the room must be the same person to check out the room key.

KL 362 Conference Room

Eligible Users: Graduate students, staff and faculty.

Capacity: Up to 18 people in a fixed conference room configuration. 

Equipment: A large format monitor with HDMI input, a whiteboard and conference phone capabilities.

How to Reserve: Use the online room reservation system EMS to reserve up to six months in advance. Once in EMS, filter by location "library".

Access: Present your CatCard at the second floor Services Desk to check out the room key at the time of your reservation. All users must exit the space before the room key is returned to the Services Desk.

Please keep in mind that the person who booked the room must be the same person to check out the room key.


Security and Compliance

  • All meetings, including setup and takedown, must begin and end within normal library operating hours and within the reservation time of your meeting.
  • The library is not responsible for the security of any items left in rooms.
  • Items left in rooms will be placed in the library Lost and Found. Ask about lost items at the Services Desk.
  • Valuable items are immediately turned over to the UC Police Department.
  • The person placing the reservation is responsible for compliance with room use policies.
  • Failure to comply with established policies may result in suspension of library privileges.
