In 2013, the University of California Academic Senate adopted an Open Access Policy to ensure that all research articles published by UC faculty would be accessible to the public at no charge. In 2015, the Presidential Open Access Policy was issued that expanded the rights and responsibilities of the 2013 policy to all non-senate lecturers and academics, researchers, scholars, and staff.
This 90-minute workshop will cover the rights and responsibilities described in both Open Access Policies, and will also feature a demonstration of the UC Open Access Publication Management System.
