Printing in the Library:

  • Library printer/copiers are located near the Services Desk on the second floor
  • Two printer/copiers support only B&W printing
  • One printer/copier supports color printing

Printing from Library Public Workstations

  • Library workstations run on Mac Snow Leopard OS
  • Library public workstations are set up to print to UCMGlobal and UCMColor printers
  • Select a printer (send color documents to "UCM Color")
  • Slide your Catcard on the cardreaders next to the printers and look for your print jobs
  • Highlight your job and touch “print”
  • Use the Catcard machine near the Services Desk to add money to your Catcard
  • Ask the Library Services Desk for assistance if needed

Printing to Library Printers from a Personal Laptop

  • Install the drivers for Windows or Mac to set up the printers on your personal computer. In case of help, visit the IT Department at their main office, located at 132A in the Classroom and Office Building.
  • Send B&W documents to "UCM Global". (If UCM Global does not appear, go to the services desk for help installing the driver)
  • Send color documents to "UCM Color". (If UCM Color does not appear, go to the services desk for help installing the driver)
  • Slide your Catcard on the cardreaders next to the printers and look for your print jobs
  • Highlight your job and touch “print”
  • If needed, use the Catcard machine near the Services Desk to add money to your Catcard

Other Printing Options

  • Other public B&W printers are available in the computer labs throughout campus. Please check with campus IT for the hours of these labs.

 

Scanning in the Library:

  • There are two color scanners located on the second floor of the Library near the Services Desk
  • Format types include JPEG and PDF (non-OCR)
  • Delivery methods include e-mailing the file as an attachment (up to 25MB) or saving to a USB drive
  • Maximum resolution is 600dpi
  • Maximum surface scan is 19” x 14”
