Literature Online Moves to ProQuest January 22, 2014 Literature Online (LION), a literature database, has moved to the ProQuest platform. You will still be able to access the old platform on Chadwyck-Healey through March 31, 2014. Of particular note is that My Archive accounts on Literature Online will not be migrated. If you or your researchers have a My Archive account, you will need to extract all data and transfer it to a new account in the new version of the database. |

SCOAP3 Widens Open Access In Particle Physics Research January 22, 2014 The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has announced that the SCOAP3 (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics) initiative will begin on January 1, 2014. SCOAP3 will make a large number of scientific articles in the field of High-Energy Physics widely available via open access. This will not cost authors anything, and they will retain copyright. Additionally, licenses will enable wide re-use of information. |

New Access to Journals in Ecology and Botany Through JSTOR November 19, 2013 JSTOR’s Ecology & Botany Collection II expands coverage of Ecology & Botany Collection I, and broadens the scope in the areas of biological and plant sciences. By 2016 the collection will include at least 80 journals from key institutions, such as the California Botanical Society; Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; Naturhistorisches Museum; Società Italiana di Patologia Vegetale, Ecological Society of America, and International Association for Plant Taxonomy. |
