We are happy to announce that the UC Merced Library building will reopen for fall 2021.
Hours: We will reopen with limited hours August 16th with fall hours resuming August 25th. The 1st floor lantern will continue to be open 24/7. See Library Hours -- Fall 2021.
Research Appointments: Librarians offer research appointments via Zoom. Requests for in-person research appointments can be accommodated.
Instruction: Librarians teach targeted library instruction sessions in classes at the request of faculty or workshops for faculty, graduates students, and staff. We can offer these via Zoom or in-person, whether in your classroom or our instruction room which accommodates up to 24 students. Request an instruction session or by-request workshop.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Interlibrary Loan services have resumed though the availability of items may depend on the status of other libraries. Requests to view materials in the library, such as microfilm, are by appointment only.
Retired Services: The following services implemented during COVID will be retired: Residential Delivery, Curbside Pick-Up, and the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (HT ETAS). We will continue to have access to the full-text of out-of-copyright materials in HathiTrust directly through HathiTrust or through UC Library Search.
