Data Management Plans

Preparing a data management plan is not only a requirement for many funding agencies, but also encourages successful handling of collected data across a project’s lifecycle and beyond. The Library recommends using DMPTool, which is an interactive, online tool designed to help researchers create and share their data management plans. The site provides:

  • specific funder requirements
  • sample plans
  • step-by-step guidance to create a plan for your grant proposal
  • ability to save, edit, update and reuse your plans

Sign into the DMPTool using your UCM Net ID to start creating your own plans based on requirements from funding agencies.
