Due to budget challenges, the UC Merced Library has identified and cancelled selected information resources. Some of these cancellations are for UC Merced locally licensed resources while many are for UC systemwide-licensed resources.

Cancellation Considerations
Some cancellation decisions have been made locally while others have been done in collaboration and coordination with our colleagues across the UC Libraries. Final decisions are influenced by various factors such as total spend, cost-per-use, contract cycles, disciplinary relevance, administrative workload etc.
Resource Access
Resource availability will be updated in UC Library Search and our A-Z Library Databases list. We also recommend the following strategies for information access.
- Request materials through Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Use ILL services to obtain materials including articles, book chapters, and books. ILL requests are often initiated through UC Library Search.
- Contact authors directly: Authors may be willing to share their publication upon request.
- Request individual book titles: Submit request via our Recommend a Purchase Form. We will determine if we are able to purchase the title.
