In winter 2014 the Library assessed the condition of all soft seating furniture in the building. We looked for ripped or torn seams, stuffing that was bursting out, and general repairs that needed to be made to couches and fabric chairs. It was nearly 10 years since the furniture had been purchased for the campus opening. It was apparent to us (and the students!) that some pieces were in dire need of mending. We identified 50 pieces of furniture that required attention and agreed that 30 pieces be sent for repair in summer 2015. We recently received part of the order back and, needless to say, the fabrics look fantastic. The furniture that was returned looks brand new. We hope that you enjoy it!
