Beginning July 24th, ProQuest will launch their redesigned ProQuest Congressional interface. This redesign hopes to simplify retrieval of information by students unfamiliar with government content, while preserving the ability to perform complex queries as desired. Databases such as ProQuest Congressional and ProQuest Digital Bills and Resolutions will move to this interface.
Some improvements included in this redesign:
Search results organized by Content Type to guide users to the best results.
A streamlined Advanced Search layout with duplicate entry points to content removed.
Search by Number enhanced with clearer navigation and page organization.
Search results relevance revised to emphasize content types.
Congress in Context featured more prominently on the page to illustrate what was going on during each Congress, including information on House and Senate leadership and partisan composition.
