To support faculty, staff, and students as UC Merced prepares for the upcoming ADA Title II compliance requirements, UC Merced Library, the Office of Information Technology (OIT), the Center for Engaged Teaching & Learning (CETL), and the Division for Equity, Justice, and Inclusive Excellence (EJIE) are organizing a workshop series focused on imparting practical digital accessibility skills. This workshop series will strengthen campus capacity for digital accessibility practices, help the campus meet accessibility requirements, and contribute to a more inclusive learning and working environment.
Experts from the Library, Teaching Commons, OIT, and the School of Natural Sciences will lead one-hour workshops on accessibility topics relevant to teaching, research, communications, websites, and digital content creation. Sessions will be recorded, captioned, and made available for future viewing on the Library's YouTube Channel and the Accessibility Workshop Series online guide.
Each workshop will be held in KL 316, Teaching Commons Workshop Room (See "Learning Lab" on the map to KL 3rd Floor - West Wing). Light refreshments will be provided 🥤, and you are encouraged to bring your lunch. 🥪 Also, bring a laptop 💻 for hands-on exercises.
