This workshop is offered in partnership with the Writing Center. It builds upon the skills we teach in the Library's Zotero Basics workshops and tackles some of the common questions we get from advanced users like graduate students and upper-division undergraduates.
Workshop Outcomes
- Identify the various ways to import references to Zotero, incl. batch importing, and how to export one's library to a different device
- Explore advanced features:
- De-dupe one’s library
- Organize and search with tags
- Use Retraction Watch effectively
- Distinguish why one might link and un-link citations
- Create and reproduce manual overrides for citation styles requiring unique formatting, e.g. narrative citations
- Create or find a journal-specific citation style in Zotero
- Recognize different types of Zotero Groups (Creating a shared library, public & private) and strategies for collaboration
