Author Mark Arax Wraps Up Residency with Lecture on California’s ‘Last Extraction’

Mark Arax made a class visit last week and will give a closing lecture, Wednesday, April 22 at 3:30pm in the Lakireddy Auditorium (Room 102 in COB 1) titled The Last Extraction: The Contradiction that is California. The event will feature a student panel and end with a reception.

The 2025-2026 Writer in Residence program has been a collaboration between the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (SSHA) and the UC Merced Library.
