Thank you to Dr. Soto and to Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) Summer Undergraduate Research Institute (SURI) for another successful collaboration.
Last week, we had the pleasure of meeting SURI scholars during a variety of instructional sessions and an informational tour of the library.
Research & Learning Librarian, Joe Ameen led two instructional sessions. First a welcome session on File Management and Research and STEM Databases, followed by "Exploring AI Tools for Research."
Instruction & Research Librarian, Elizabeth McMunn-Tetangco taught students the importance of "Using Zotero to Manage Your Research & Cite Sources."
Nigh & Weekend Services Coordinator, Isabel Ramos, led SURI scholars on a tour of the library, meanwhile sharing all of the spaces and services that we have to offer.
Erin Mutch, Director of Geospatial & GIS Services, shared her expertise during a session covering GIS Support and Information at UC Merced.
Lastly, Derek Devnich, Director of the UC Merced Center for Data Services, hosted a Data Visualization in Python workshop for SURI scholars.
