Request an Instruction Session for Writing 10 or Upper-Division Writing

Our goal is to engage students more deeply with information literacy topics through pre-activities and in-person library sessions that involve team problem-solving and facilitated conversation.

For Writing 10 and upper-division writing classes, you will be asked to select one or two topics for your students and have them complete associated pre-activities prior to the in-person library session. Any remaining class time can be used for students to find information for their own research questions.

Pre-activities are available on our library guides or in the Canvas Commons for import into your CatCourses sites. Explore topic offerings and student pre-activities by visiting the links below.

If you are interested in a Wikipedia collaboration, please contact Elizabeth McMunn-Tetangco emcmunn@ucmerced.edu directly or email us at library@ucmerced.edu.

The library also offers a variety of workshops on various topics. Please use the By-Requests Workshops form to submit your request
