Connect from Off Campus

Wed, January 14, 2009

UC Merced Library provides thousands of online journals, books, and databases for the use of UC Merced students, faculty, and staff. If you are on campus, connecting to them is as simple as connecting to to UC campus network.

From off campus you need to use the UC Merced Campus Virtual Private Network (VPN). Using the VPN involves downloading and installing a piece of software on your off-campus computer and then logging on using your UC Merced Network ID (the same username and password you use to access your UC Merced email or to access CROPS).

Instructions: There are complete instructions for the VPN at ucmercedlibrary.info/offcampus.html.

Help: Contact the UC Merced IT Helpdesk at helpdesk@ucmerced.edu or 209.228.HELP (4357).
