Scholarly Publishing

Scholarly Publishing is the process through which research and other scholarly output is created, evaluated, and made available to the scholarly community and the public at large. Traditionally, this process has been done through print journals and academic monographs. As the landscape of academic publishing becomes increasingly digital, however, new opportunities and challenges for disseminating scholarly output are continuously emerging. The Library can help UC Merced researchers navigate these new landscapes, and in the process help shape the way research is conducted and made available to the world.
