New Library Buoys

Fri, January 22, 2016 1:30 PM

Over winter intersession, the UC Merced Library acquired 25 new, very colorful Buoy style stools to provide additional seating options for library users. The Buoys have a playful contemporary design that encourages movement and activity but perhaps more importantly, they are portable! Each one weighs just under 20 pounds, so move them around to create your own study or collaborative work area. The Buoys can be found on the top 3 floors of the Library.

New mobile version of UC-eLinks

Wed, January 13, 2016 3:00 PM

Starting January 12, 2016, the California Digital Library will enable a mobile-optimized version of UC-eLinks for most mobile devices. Mobile versions are available for these UC-eLinks interfaces:

* UC-eLinks full menu window

* UC-eLinks banner (i.e., direct linking in a frame where you bypass the full menu window)

* A-Z ejournal lists

Enabling the mobile version of UC-eLinks is the final step in a transition to a more simplified template begun in June 2015. CDL will continue to advocate for more responsive design interfaces that will automatically adjust to the size of your screen.
