HathiTrust Print Disabilities Access August 19, 2015 The UC Merced Library is pleased to offer special access to the HathiTrust Digital Library for students, staff and faculty with visual impairments or print disabilities. The HathiTrust Digital Library is a partnership of research and academic institutions, and contains over 10 million digitized volumes. Through a designated proxy, the UC Merced Library can supply eligible patrons with an accessible PDF file of in-copyright materials that are available in both HathiTrust and the UC Merced Library collections. By collaborating with the Office of Disability Services, these files can be converted into a format consistent with the patron’s access needs. For items not available through HathiTrust, in-print items owned by UC Merced can be digitized. Please contact the Office of Disability Services at 209-228-6996 to obtain a referral for HathiTrust access and digitization requests.
