Please join us for an author talk featuring Associate Professor of Art History / Visual Studies, Aditi Chandra. 

In this talk, Dr. Chandra will discuss her new book, Unruly Monuments: Disrupting the State at Delhi's Islamic Architecture (Cambridge University Press). The book discusses Delhi's Sultanate and Mughal architecture and its history and place in physical and public consciousness.

Event Time: Noon-1pm

Registration is encouraged as seating is limited. Light refreshments provided. We will have a giveaway of a copy of the book during the event. 

UC Merced Library Welcomes Chris Caskey, Oral Histories Project Coordinator

Christopher Caskey joins the UC Merced Library staff this spring and summer as the UC Merced Oral Histories Project Coordinator. With support from Chancellor Juan Sánchez Muñoz, the Library is conducting a pilot project to record and preserve the stories of those who have contributed to the founding of UC Merced.

In response to ongoing budget cuts across the University of California system, the UC Libraries have engaged in a collaborative and coordinated approach to reduce systemwide collections budget spending by 3.7%. With these systemwide decisions, we now have a finalized list that includes both local and consortial resource cancellations.
