AP Images is moving to EBSCOhost March 28, 2017 The Associated Press’s AP Images Collection, one of the world’s largest collections of historical and contemporary imagery with more than twelve million photographs, will be hosted via EBSCOhost by March 29th. Though the content of AP Images won’t change, the search experience will use existing EBSCOhost parameters and be supported by all of the latest web browsers. UC Libraries Digital Collection Project wins 2016 Larry L. Sautter Award July 14, 2016 UCOP’s UC Libraries Digital Collection Project is a winner of the 2016 Larry L. Sautter Golden Award for enabling all UC libraries to create, manage, and make accessible to the public hundreds of thousands of digital assets ranging from historical records and maps to photographs and films. Services include a shared digital asset management system that all campus libraries may use, a tool to aggregate and index digital content across collections, and the Calisphere website that allows the public to explore UC’s archival treasures. |

The Art of Costume Design: The Work of Dunya Ramicova October 16, 2015 An exhibit of costume designs by Dunya Ramicova, UC Merced faculty, will be on display at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center from October 16 - December 7, 2015. Since 2014, the Library has been digitizing, archiving, and preserving Dunya Ramicova’s costume designs. With this exhibit, the UC Merced Library is pleased to announce the launch of the digital collection, now available online in Calisphere. When completed, the collection will stand as one of the very few digital collections [oeuvres] of costume designs by a single creator anywhere. |

Professor’s Costume Designs Put on Display October 12, 2015 Renderings of costume designs by UC Merced Professor Dunya Ramicova are now available as digital images through Calisphere. To date, more than 2,000 images are available for viewing. Ramicova is an Emmy Award-winning costume designer and her work includes designs from more than 150 productions that range from theater to film. |

Calisphere Expands Digital Collections Across the UC October 12, 2015 UC Merced’s Panorama publication recently highlighted the UC Libraries Digital Collection and UC Merced’s contributions to this project. The project includes a new version of Calisphere with a substantial increase in content with approximately 50 new collections from UC libraries. The project has also created the infrastructure needed to make these collections visible in the Digital Public Library of America. |
